JADE CHONG – Performer

Jade Chong (she/her) is a contemporary dance artist living and working on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Jade first found her passion for movement and athletic artistry as a gymnast beginning at age 2. She began dancing at Defy Gravity Dance studio and continued her post-secondary training at Modus Operandi Contemporary Dance Program under the direction of Tiffany Tregarthen, David Raymond and Kate Franklin. Since graduating, she has had the pleasure of working with Company 605, Khoudia Toure, Kirsten Wicklund, MUCCI/OURO Collective, Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, and has toured internationally with Shay Kuebler Radical System Art. Jade is a 2016-2020 BC Arts Council scholarship recipient and has received a Kinesiology Diploma.
