Dr. Deepak Paramashivan- Mozart Composition - Classical Vocalist

Is a Sarangi player, composer, actor, Sanskrit scholar, an ethnomusicologist and a climate scientist. He is currently an assistant professor in the department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. He has toured Europe, USA, Canada, UK, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea soloist and collaborating with Late Ustad Aashish Khan, Pandit Swapan Chaudhary, Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, Pandit Yogesh Samsi, Pandit Birju Maharaj,  ILaiyaraja , Oscar winning composer A R Rehman and the Hollywood music director Rick Boston. He has acted and composed music for Western theater productions and in Indian films such as the Sanskrit/Kannada bilingual film Ekachakram, Kannada film Maavu-Bevu and the upcoming Sanskrit/Kannada bilingual Padma Gandhi. Deepak has a PhD in energy and climate engineering, with a gold medal, from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), India. He received his second doctorate in Music from the University of Alberta, Canada. He is pursuing his third doctorate at University of Alberta.
